Meet the Team

Fr. Peter Jenner

Vicar / Parish Priest

Before entering ministry, Peter worked in the computer industry in Kent and the Midlands, which has remained both a professional skill and a fascinating hobby for him.

He was ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Church in 1996.  He ministered for 19 years in R.C. parishes in South London. In 2014, following a long period of discernment, he concluded God was calling him to leave the Roman Church, and in June 2015 he was received into the Church of England.

Peter worked in the Parish of Staines until January 2018, when he took up the appointment as Incumbent and Vicar of St. Christopher’s.

Rev. Caroline Mullins

Associate Minister / Assistant Priest

Caroline was ordained in 2007 and moved from a parish in Wandsworth to St Christopher’s Church in 2011. She is involved in most things related to families and young children as well as leading worship, preaching and all kinds of pastoral work. In theory she only works 2 days a week!

Jane Barnett

Jane has worshipped at St. Christopher’s since moving to Hinchley Wood in 1985.  She spent many years on the social committee and has organised many quizzes.  Jane has been a representative on Diocesan Synod and on Deanery Synod.  She spent 8 years supporting the Messy Church initiative and has been a member of the PCC since 2016.  Jane particularly enjoys assisting with the church activities for families and children. She became Church Warden in 2022.

Margaret Thompson

Treasurer

Margaret has worshipped regularly at St. Christopher’s since 2010 and joined the PCC in 2013. She helped with Messy Church for many years.  Margaret served two years as Church Warden, and then reverted back to being a PCC member in 2019.

Margaret undertook training to become a Pastoral Assistant in Guildford Diocese in September 2013. She was authorised by the Bishop of Dorking at a service in Guildford Cathedral in July 2014. Margaret has worked in the parish, by visiting the elderly and bereaved in their homes, taking communion each month to those living in retirement flats.

Her current role is church treasurer.

Liz Hammond

Liz spent 25 years as a Pastoral Assistant in Southwark Diocese. Since moving to Hinchley Wood she has continued her training and was authorised as a Pastoral Assistant in Guildford Diocese in 2012. Her work at St Christopher’s includes visiting the elderly and bereaved and taking communion to those who are housebound. Liz also co-ordinates our prayer chain and leads a monthly meeting for its members to pray together for those who have requested prayer.
