Meet the Team

Fr. Peter Jenner

Vicar / Priest in Charge / Parish Priest

Before entering ministry, Peter worked in the computer industry in Kent and the Midlands, which has remained both a professional skill and a fascinating hobby for him.

He was ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Church in 1996.  He ministered for 19 years in R.C. parishes in South London. In 2014, following a long period of discernment, he concluded God was calling him to leave the Roman Church, and in June 2015 he was received into the Church of England.

Peter worked in the Parish of Staines until January 2018, when he took up the appointment as Incumbent of St. Christophers.

Rev. Caroline Mullins

Associate Minister / Assistant Priest

Caroline was ordained in 2007 and moved from a parish in Wandsworth to St Christopher’s Church in 2011. She is involved in most things related to families and young children as well as leading worship, preaching and all kinds of pastoral work. In theory she only works 2 days a week!

Heather Allen

Church Warden / Lay PCC Chair

Heather joined St Christopher’s in 2009, singing in the choir, and became PCC Secretary in 2010. She has been a regular craft helper at Messy Church and was elected Church Warden in March 2017.

Heather is also Lay Chair of the PCC

Margaret Thompson

Church Warden / Pastoral Assistant

Margaret has worshipped regularly at St. Christopher’s since 2010 and joined the PCC in 2013. She has helped with Messy Church since its inception.  Margaret stepped into the role of Church Warden in September 2016 and was re-elected at the APCM in March 2017.

Margaret undertook training to become a Pastoral Assistant in Guildford Diocese in September 2013. She was authorised by the Bishop of Dorking at a service in Guildford Cathedral in July 2014. Since then Margaret has worked in the parish, by visiting the elderly and bereaved in their homes, taking communion each month to those living in retirement flats and she also visits people in hospital. In addition, Margaret regularly organises and runs “Film Nights” for the residents living in local retirement flats.

Liz Hammond

Pastoral Assistant

Liz spent 25 years as a Pastoral Assistant in Southwark diocese. Since moving to Hinchley Wood she has continued her training and was authorised as a Pastoral Assistant in Guildford Diocese in 2012. Her work at St Christopher’s includes visiting the elderly and bereaved and taking communion to a local residential home and to those who are housebound. During our vacancy Liz is also leading prayers for vision and discernment as we seek God’s will for our church.

Mandy Ali

Parish Administrator

Mandy has been worshipping at St. Christopher’s Church since joining the Choir and Band in 2012. She became Parish Administrator in January 2014 and has been part of the Hinchley Wood magazine team since its establishment in January 2015. As Parish Administrator Mandy is responsible for the day-to-day running of the church and church hall, working in the Parish Office from 9:00am-3:00pm on weekdays.
