Worship at St Christopher’s combines a broad range of worship styles from Traditional to Contemporary – but always in a relaxed manner. Our main services are all Communion services and as you’d expect we sing, pray, hear a reading from the Bible, listen to a talk or sermon, share God’s peace with one another, and receive communion or a blessing.
Following guidance from the Government and the National Church, we are immediately “suspending all public worship”. So there will be no Sunday services, weekday services, meetings or groups until further notice. This is primarily to safeguard our congregation and community.
We will be developing some other methods of continuing to be church. Watch this space ….
Main Sunday Service
Our main service is every Sunday at 10am. It helps to get there 10 minutes early, to get a parking spot and a seat, in time for the service to start. We follow a set pattern of Sunday Services: 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of the month
10am All Age Eucharist with band (Common Worship Communion for All Ages)
2nd and 4th Sunday of the month
10am Sung Eucharist with choir (Communion Service)
‘Space to be’
We are trying out a simple service of Evening Prayer at St Christopher’s.
The Sunday service will be a quiet space for people to pray together before the busy week begins. There will be no sermon or communion, just us coming together to raise our voices in prayer.
It will be lead by lay members of the congregation and will be based on reflection and stillness, with a short space for people to bring their own prayers, out loud if they wish, or in their hearts.
It will start at six o’clock, and will last no more than half an hour.
You are all welcome, whether exploring what faith means to you or certain of its importance for you, please join us in our ‘space to be’
There is no Messy Church until further notice.
